A Different Approach to Dry Eyes

Do you have dry eyes?

Is your eye discomfort starting to cause problems in your daily activity?

Dr. Chris Teichmiller of Innovative Eyecare can perform an evaluation to determine the likely cause of your discomfort and dry eye. Without an evaluation of your eyes, you may spend time and money on solutions that do not address the real problem.

LipiView Assessment

When evaluating many patients with complaints of dry eyes, your eye doctor may schedule you for a LipiView® evaluation. The LipiView® interferometer is a first of its kind device that enables eye doctors to assess thickness of the lipid component. Lipid is the oil component in your tears. The test is non-invasive and takes only about five minutes.

LipiView Assessment

As part of the evaluation, your eye doctor will use the Meibomian Gland Evaluator™ to measure the quantity and quantity of lipids being released from your glands. Knowing what is causing the discomfort and dryness will allow your doctor to determine the best treatment options.
